California at Washington State Cougars

Shane – After stunning a much better opponent in Washington at home through a stout defensive effort, Cal heads to Pullman thinking their hot stuff. However, Wazzu is hot and the Cougars maul the Bears alive on both sides of the ball. California’s better than average defense can’t hang with Minshew’s high powered offense. The blanks shooting Bears offense gets annihilated by the vaunting Cougar defense. Wazzu in a blowout.

Matt Barry – I have been waiting for the Cougars to trip up here, but now will admit to the fact that they are legit. Cal beat Washington in a low scoring affair and caused problems for the Huskies offense. But WSU’s offense is flat out better. Air Raid puts up points and frankly, Cal can not score enough to win this one on the road. The Cougars dream season continues with a convincing win.

Herb Nightingale – Washington State plays at home against the California Bears. The Cougars have a lot to lose if they lose this game, however, I believe they beat the Bears this week. The score will be 41-24.

Ed Stein – Cal didn’t score an offensive touchdown last week. They might go two straight because the Cougars defense has been tough against good offenses with “big-time” running backs. I haven’t even gotten to the Wazzu offense. Gardner Minshew and company are a going wipe the swagger out of Cal’s D. Not only does Wazzu win, but they also cover the 9.5 point spread.
