Kansas City at New England, Sunday Night Football

Dave Champion – The Sunday night game this will be a good one from all aspects. On one side of the ball, you have a young hungry quarterback in Patrick Mahomes. On the other side of the ball, there is a tried and true savvy quarterback in Tom Brady.

More from Seattle Seahawks

This game will be a challenge for the young quarterback because the New England coaches like to take away the opposing team’s best pat player. But with the weapons that Mr. Mahomes aka. Showtime has at his disposal, it’s going to pose a challenge for the Patriots defense. Tom Brady will put up some points on the board because the Chiefs defense is very vulnerable. In the end, I think that the Chiefs offense will outscore the Patriots and come away with a “W”. Making them 6-0.

Kevin Saito – The Chiefs, more specifically Patrick Mahomes, has been a good story so far this season. With Mahomes under center, Kansas City’s offense has been electric. Unfortunately, that dream start is going to come to a crashing halt, as the league’s worst defense will get carved up by Tom Brady and a New England offense that can score in bunches. All they need to do is play adequate defense, and this game could be a blowout. Brady’s experience will trump Mahomes’ flash and sizzle, and KC’s defense will prove to be a huge Achilles heel for this team.

Ed Stein – Kansas City has an electrifying offense, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes and running back Kareem Hunt. Their defense hasn’t been anywhere near as good, which will be their downfall. Never underestimate the heart of a champion. Every time the Patriots get counted out, they find a way to make themselves relevant again. I’ll go with the Pats.

Matt Barry – Last season, Kansas City had their way with the Patriots in the opener. The Chiefs are 5-0 and rolling. They have many weapons and Patrick Mahomes is a budding star.

The Patriots are a different team with Julian Edelman, but they are thin at running back. The real mismatch is the New England linebackers against Travis Kelce and the speedy weapons of Kansas City. New England has a hard time covering crossing routes and running backs in space.

I take the Chiefs in a closer game than last year. This could be the year KC breaks through to the Super Bowl.
