1) Dallas Cowboys

Everyone knows about Earl Thomas’ love affair with the Dallas Cowboys. He’s a Texas guy, growing up in the southeastern part of the state, before there was a Houston Texans team, and then playing for The University of Texas.

More from Seattle Seahawks

It all came to a head last December 24. That’s when Thomas chased after Dallas head coach Jason Garrett, following a Hawks 21-12 win telling him, “come get me.” After the game, Thomas told the media, “…when Seattle kicks me to the curb, please, Cowboys, come get me. This is the only place I’d rather be if I get kicked to the curb.”

That interesting day combined with Thomas’s offseason holdout as well as his drama this past week proves that he doesn’t want to be part of the Seattle Seahawks anymore. Since it has been centered around the Cowboys, it makes Dallas the main player to land ET3’s services.

Last week the Seahawks exposed Dallas’ weak safeties during their 24-13 win. On top of their poor showing in the secondary, the Cowboys watched as Thomas intercepted two Dak Prescott passes. It’s not to imagine what Dallas owner Jerry Jones was thinking after the game. The Seahawks already declined a Dallas offer for a second-round pick in return for Thomas.

That means that in order for a trade with Dallas to happen, the Cowboys would not only have to send that second round pick, but they’d also have to include another player or pick. It won’t be a lineman, because the Cowboys are in limbo with center Travis Frederick. As we have seen so far, Seattle might need another receiver. Could Colorado St. rookie Michael Gallup, Dallas’ 2018 third-round draft pick, be someone the Cowboys would part with to get Earl Thomas?

Thomas trade value will probably never be as high as it is right now. The Seattle Seahawks need to pull the trigger soon.
