Seattle Seahawks: 3 Reasons Signing Eddie Lacy Was a Good Move

3) Insurance
Thomas Rawls and C.J. Prosise are the future at the running back position for the Seahawks. At 23 and 22 respectively, they both hopefully have long careers ahead of them.

That’s the theory at least anyway. However, there is no getting away from the reality that both have already had their injury issues since entering the NFL.
Rawls replaced Marshawn Lynch during the 2015 season and immediately settled into the role, before having his campaign cut short by a fractured ankle. Last season disaster struck again, as the Flint, Michigan native suffered a fractured fibula.
Prosise similarly had a frustrating start to his NFL career, being limited to six games last year, due to injury issues. This doesn’t meant the duo are destined to have injury-plagued careers, but having Lacy as some insurance can’t hurt.
