To the Future

The Seahawks have their quarterback of the present and the future in Russell Wilson. The franchise’s best quarterback is already adding to his growing legend in Seattle. He is still in his prime physically, and while there are still questions about his offensive line, which caused him and the team problems in many pivotal games, Wilson has the rare ability to avoid defenders and deliver the ball perfectly on the run.

That makes him the most elusive QB in the NFL.

Hopefully we can all revel in the legend and reflected glory of Wilson for many years to come. The One is difficult to find, as the Seahawks over the years can attest. When you find him, you have to hold onto him for as many seasons as you can.

John Schneider of course knows that, and he knows that while building one of the best defenses in NFL history is great, he’ll always have a franchise quarterback named Wilson at the helm. Hopefully until he retires.

Wilson is unlikely to be eclipsed on this list anytime soon. How fortunate we are as Seattle fans to have memories (if you’re old enough) of the best and second-best quarterbacks in Seahawks history, both helping the Seahawks to three Super Bowl appearances in the past 16 years. What a time to be alive.
