Oregon at Wahington State Cougars

Lucas Duncan – WSU is a good football team, but they’ve also benefited this season from a weak strength of schedule. Oregon has already faced off against three ranked teams two of which were top 10 at the time. Wazzu will keep it close but I think Oregon wins this one.

Colby Patnode – College GameDay is finally headed to Pullman. The surprising Cougars could really do UW a solid and put themselves into the national conversation all in one game. Oregon is the better team, but with that crowd energized from College GameDay, I expect a close, physical game. However, I’ll take Oregon 40-38.

Ed Stein – Washington State has finally earned some national attention in 2018. They are 5-1, their only loss was a now controversial three-point loss at USC. Oregon is coming off of an emotional overtime win at home against UW.

This one is going to be a shootout even though both teams have decent defenses. Oregon will get their yards as will WSU. The difference is going to be Mike Leach’s inventive plays and Gardner Minshew’s ability to pick apart Oregon’s inexperienced corners. I’m going with the Cougars.

Matt Barry – This is a HUGE game for Washington State. For the first time in a long time, they are playing a marquee game. Oregon is coming off an emotionally charged win last week over UW.

The Cougars had a bye and are fresh and prepared. The crowd should be deafening. This is the game Mike Leach has waited for at Washington State. A win here goes a long way toward bigger things. I like the Cougars because they are home, rested, and hungry.
