I have been a Mariners fan for exactly zero years. I am a Red Sox fan. A die hard. In fact, I died hard every year until 2004. I actually still wait for the day I wake up and realize it never happened. But, until then, I cherish the three World Series titles I never thought I would see.

I am, however, a baseball fan, a fantasy baseball champion, and a writer who has watched the Mariners more intently this season than any other. When I thought Mariners, I thought of Ken Griffey Jr. sliding into home to win a playoff game, Randy Johnson throwing 100 mph in the Kingdome, and Chris Bosio. Chris Bosio? Yup. I’m a Red Sox fan. I still get angry thinking of his 1993 no-hitter against Boston.
