Welcome to Seattle Mariners rant week. Emerald City Swagger encourages our writers to let out the frustrations about the M’s 17th consecutive season watching the playoffs on television. Today, Herb Nightingale takes his turn.

I am now looking at things a little different perspective this week than I did last week when I couldn’t wait for the Seattle Mariners season to end.

Actually, I am still glad it is over, though I wish I could finally see them in the playoffs. I just wish the season would start again right now with several new faces in the everyday lineup, starting rotation and the bullpen.

The season was enjoyable through June. I heard those in media and the Mariners broadcast say how difficult a schedule June would be, but the M’s ended up winning 19 games, the most of any month of the season.
