8) Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears boast a pretty stout defense right now anchored by the man, the myth, the legend, Khalil Mack. since his arrival in the Second City, he has put the fear of God in NFL quarterbacks this year. Chicago also has young rookie stud linebacker Roquan Smith out of Georgia, the eighth overall draft pick.

In the secondary, second-year player Eddie Jackson is the safety. He’s a good player, but imagine what Thomas could do with the Bears. They’d have Mack, Smith, and Danny Trevathan pressuring the quarterback to force errant throws, and ET3 to pick them off. It would be legendary.

7) Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons are an interesting option as a trade destination. The reason they are in it is due to their safety Ricardo Allen. He was just put on injured reserve on September 25th and will be out the rest of the year with an Achilles injury. They signed Sharrod Neasman but that is just a quick fix which might prove to be costly for their second defensive unit.

Atlanta needs someone now and would be willing to pay a small fortune for a safety like Thomas. There is plenty of offensive talent playing every Sunday for the Falcons that they could dangle as trade bait for a deal. Could someone like Desmond Trufant be available in an Earl Thomas trade?

All we know right now is that the Falcons need a safety and if Carroll and Schneider are actually looking at possible deals, the Falcons have become players in the Thomas sweepstakes, due to their current situation. Also, you can bet your bottom dollar that Atlanta coach Dan Quinn would love to have Thomas back on his side.
