10) New York Giants

Thomas has killed the New York Giants over the course of his career so far. The only way for the Giants to make sure that doesn’t happen again is to trade for him. The Giants most likely wouldn’t be willing to part with a draft pick because they won’t have any compensatory draft picks in 2019 so they will need to keep all their draft picks.

The other rub is that New York’s best player on defense, strong safety, Landon Collins, runs the show onfield. It’s uncertain how those two strong personalities would mesh.

9) Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals have been solid on defense this year but need help in the secondary. They have Jimmy Smith, Brandon Carr, and Marlon Humphreys on the outsides switching off at corner. Eric Weddle is their free safety who is solid but at 33 is getting old. An upgrade to secure the deep middle could greatly help. Is there a better way to upgrade than to go out and get the best free safety in the game.

Lewis is a defense-first coach. A veteran leader, as well as a proven winner, Earl Thomas is exactly what Cincinnati needs on the field. They could also use him in a locker room that has had issues with sketchy personalities in the past.
