Houston Astros, June 23-25

Much like the Rangers, the Astros have been a thorn in the side of Seattle and will aim to do the same as both teams have division championship aspirations this season. It cannot be overstated: the Mariners must take care of business against their AL West rivals in Texas.

This will be a fun weekend to fill Safeco Field. Friday will be fireworks night, with music across the decades.

Saturday is “Turn Back the Clock” night as the Mariners will wear uniforms from their inaugural 1977 season. The first 20,000 will get a retro cap as well. Sunday is “Second Chance Father’s Day” with a backpack giveaway.

The Astros are projected to be a team towards the top of the American League. If the Mariners think they are in that mix too, they need to beat the Astros at Safeco.

With cool promotions and a big summer series, this should be a fun weekend.
