New York Yankees, July 20-23

This series is the first of one of the craziest homestands in recent memory. The Mariners will play the Yankees, Red Sox and Mets back-to-back-to-back.

All three of these teams should be in contention this season. Starting with the Yankees, they have gotten younger.

They don’t have as many household names as in years past. Regardless, one thing is for sure, a lot of pinstripes will make their way into Safeco Field to watch this four-game series.

The Yankees and Mariners have always had an interesting relationship, since they have faced off in three of the M’s four playoff runs, with the Yankees winning two of those three. It is always fun to have one of baseball’s “blue blood” franchises in town.

This will be a good gauge to see where the Mariners are in mid-summer. There are also fun promotions such as a “I Club New York” shirt and Fedora night.
