Adam Lind

Sometimes, Lind must wonder what happened, after seemingly being headed for something special. After hitting 35 home runs and 114 RBIs in 2009, he won the Edgar Martinez Award and then signed a contract extension with the Blue Jays.

Little did the former third round draft pick know that 2009 would represent the high point of his professional career. Yes, he’s still been fairly productive at time, but he has never threatened to reach his previous heights.

Pure and simple, Lind will not be back in Seattle next year. He probably realized the writing was on the wall, after the Mariners traded for Dan Vogelbach back in July.

Chance of returning: Non-existent
