Seattle Sounders: 3 Keys Vs. Houston Dynamo
By Paul Taylor
2) Cristian Roldan
A lot has been expected of Roldan since he was selected 16th overall in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft. However, he only occasionally showed glimpses of what he was capable of during his rookie campaign.
This season has been different, with the 21-year starting to produce more consistently. In the last three weeks particularly, he has really started to step up his game and justify Seattle’s decision to pick him.
Sunday’s win against the Timbers was arguably Roldan’s best performance yet in a Sounders jersey. He played a part in all three Seattle goals, earning the penalty, setting up Dempsey’s second strike and scoring himself late on, to seal the victory.
Certainly, the future looks bright for a player who is now showing the commitment and work ethic, to match his undoubted talent. The Sounders will need more of the same on Wednesday night, especially given their aforementioned struggles in Houston.
