2) Cristian Roldan

A lot has been expected of Roldan ever since he first arrived in Seattle last year. That’s what happens when you’re selected 16th overall in the MLS SuperDraft.

The 21-year showed just enough glimpses during the 2015 campaign to have Sounders fans excited for the future. This season, he seems to be taking that next step and has recently displayed the best form of his professional career.

Saturday’s win may even have been Roldan’s best performance yet in a Sounders jersey, as he was involved in all three goals for the home side. He earned the penalty, set up Dempsey’s second strike and sealed the victory by scoring Seattle’s final goal.

There’s no denying the midfielder’s talent and commitment. As long as he continues to put the hard work in, things are only going to improve for both him and the team.
