1) No home field advantage in this game

Things couldn’t be much tighter heading into the 15th meeting between these two sides. Both teams have won five times and scored 20 goals, in the first 14 encounters.

Potentially more worrying for the Sounders, is that the Whitecaps seem to be one of the few teams with no fears playing at the Link. In six previous visits to Seattle, Vancouver has three wins and a tie, along with a 12-8 advantage in goals scored.

This includes a convincing 3-0 victory last season at the start of August, when defender Pa Modou Kah scored twice. Suffice it to say, but if a Whitecaps defender manages two goals again in this game, the Sounders will probably be in big trouble.
