It’s been a tough year for Luetge, who’s having the worst year of his career with AAA Tacoma. His strikeouts have gone through the floor while his ERA is sitting north of five, though he hasn’t allowed a run in either of his innings with the Mariners this year. So there’s that, at least.

Luetge, like so, so many of these guys, is going to get the call because he’s on the 40-man. He can help soak innings up for a bullpen that largely just needs to go to sleep and wake up nice and rested in the spring. This has been a nightmare year, and it’s been worse in the bullpen than anywhere else. Everyone deserves a break. Enter Luetge.
