‘Kuma’s performance yesterday ranks as the second-most impressive no-hitter in Seattle Mariners history. He was a delight to watch, as is any pitcher who’s got pinpoint location and all his weapons working at their best. Which was exactly what the Golden Bear was on that literally-yesterday Wednesday afternoon.
I still think it’s hilarious that he walked three batters – he’s actually only walked more batters in an MLB game once in his career. The guy’s a legend for his stinginess with walks, yet he tied his season-high for walks during a no-hitter. Can’t have it all, I suppose.
