Danny Shelton Talks About His Draft Outfit

As talked about yesterday, Danny Shelton was drafted by the Cleveland Browns with the 12th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.

"At 6’2″, 340 pounds Shelton was among the most dominating defensive players in college football in 2014, if not THE MOST dominating. He was a first team All-American in 2014 for the Dawgs after amassing 93 tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss and nine sacks. With his size and strength, he tossed college O-linemen around like a rag-doll. We’ll see if he can do the same thing in the NFL."

Our Mark Carman caught up with Danny in the aftermath of the pick. They talk about Shelton’s new home, as well as his outfit.

Shelton is a fantastic pickup for Cleveland, and will single-handedly improve their 32nd ranked run defense. He was a fantastic player and ambassador for the University of Washington and I expect nothing less in Cleveland.

"After watching him for four years at the University of Washington, I hope for the best for this fantastic player, and fantastic person. He was a star on the field and in the classroom, being an All-American in both categories, the only player in college football to do so.Congrats, Cleveland. You got a good one. And congrats to Danny Shelton on having your life-long dreams realized. Go get ‘em."
