Seattle Seahawks CB’s To Watch For The Draft

1) Senquez Golson, Ole Miss

Size is the only reason this unanimous first-team All-American isn’t a second round pick. At 5’9″ he isn’t a fit outside for the Seahawks, but with Jeremy Lane coming off a broken arm, and torn ACL, there could be a place for Golson at slot corner and special teams gunner.

Golson is a fantastic all-around athlete, with ridiculously good lateral quickness and balance. He also good competitiveness, instincts, toughness and every other intangible you could ask for, including love of the game.

He was an eight-round pick of the Boston Red Sox coming out of high school, but declined the $1.35 million signing bonus in favor of furthering his football career. Think about that, how many 18 year-olds say no to $1.35 million dollars?

Golson would be a perfect pick-up to play right-away if Lane can’t return by the start of the season, or if Lane eventually follows Byron Maxwell to a free agent pay-day.
