Five Reasons Gonzaga Can Reach The Final Four

1) Lots Of Scoring Options

Gary Bell Jr. is the SIXTH leading scorer on this team. That is absolutely insane. Of the 345 division one teams, Bell would probably lead three-fourths of them in scoring if he were to play for them.

Unlike in 2012 when Gonzaga relied on four players for almost all of their offense, they now have seven legitimate scoring options. Other than Kentucky, Wisconsin and Arizona, no team has the depth and versatility to successfully matchup with the Zags. And all three of those teams are on the other side of the bracket.

I’m not saying they will make the Final Four, and nothing can stop them. But I really do think the Gonzaga Bulldogs have the best chance of advancing to Indianapolis, ahead of Duke and Iowa State. I would set the odds like this.

  • #2 Gonzaga 35%
  • #1 Duke 30%
  • #3 Iowa State 25%
  • #5 Utah 5%
  • Other 5%

So there you have it. Gonzaga should be the favorites to dance their way into the Final Four out of the south region.
