Seattle Seahawks 2015 Offseason Priorities

Re-sign Russell Wilson

There have been reports that Pete Carroll, John Schneider, and Paul Allen are prepared to make Russell Wilson the highest-payed player in NFL history.

Personally, I think that is ridiculous. As I said earlier, I love Russ. But he isn’t worth $20-22 million per year. We saw what happened to the Baltimore Ravens a few years back after they won the Super Bowl and then gave Joe Flacco a six year, $121 million contract, and subsequently traded or released many important pieces to their team.

Russell is a top ten QB. And top ten QBs get a lot of money. But he won’t get the biggest ever.

Prediction: Seattle gives him a five year, $90 million deal
