Seattle Seahawks 2015 Offseason Priorities

Re-sign Marshawn Lynch

I’m hoping that Jay Glazer was full of crap when he “gauranteed” that Lynch wouldn’t be a Seahawk in 2015, and I’m pretty sure that he was.

First off, he is under contract for 2015-16. So the Seahawks would have to cut him or trade him for him not to be here. Unless you believe the reports that he’s going to retire. Those were also most likely a bunch of garbage.

It’s all coming back to me now. Russell’s “blackness,” Percy Harvin inciting a “mutiny,” There really was a lot of garbage reporting going on earlier this year.

But all that aside, there is absolutely no way that Pete Carroll and John Schneider don’t recognize his value to the team. He is the offense right now. Russ is great. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some some Russell Wilson. But this offense would be screwed without the one they call Beast Mode.

And from Marshawn’s perspective, why would he walk away from $8 million, and possibly more according to Ian Rappaport?

Not to mention, he loves it here in Seattle. The fans here have been good to him, and he has shown his appreciation in interviews. He said in the locker room one time in response to national criticism of his antics that “the 12’s that I play for on Sunday’s don’t seem to mind.”

Predicition: Seattle extends him on a three year, $27 million deal.
