Super Bowl 49 Merchandise for Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots

The game hasn’t even played yet between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots and already we’re getting a look at home their Super Bowl champion merchandise is looking like.

It’s widely known that the gear of the losing team is shipped off to less fortunate countries to clothe the needy. Every now and then the shirts, hoodies and hats of the Super Bowl losers make their way back to America. Sites like eBay are littered with the memorabilia that was never intended to be sold or distributed once the final whistle blew.

Just one day before Super Bowl 49 we have a look at what both teams will be wearing once the confetti flies and one lucky team is named the Super Bowl champion for the 2014 NFL season.

Seattle’s merchandise shows off the “Back 2 Back” champion theme while the Patriots gear shows off the would-be “4x champion” storyline if they were to win tomorrow.

Tom Brady is playing in a record sixth Super Bowl. No other quarterback has started as many championship games as the former 6th round pick. A win would give Brady four rings in six appearances and cement him as the greatest postseason QB in NFL history.

The Seahawks and Russell Wilson would like to start their own dynasty with a win. Russell Wilson is already the youngest QB to start two Super Bowls. A win would surpass him over Brady as the youngest to win two as well.

No team has won back-to-back Super Bowls since the Patriots accomplished the feat in the 2003/2004′ seasons.
