Seattle Seahawks DT Jordan Hill Done For Season
By Paul Novak
The Seahawks will be without Jordan Hill this week but will get a huge boost to the offensive line with Pro Bowl center Max Unger returning.
Injuries are nothing new to the 2014 version of the Seattle Seahawks. The early parts of the season were filled with key players missing time.
After things subsided over the second half of the regular season, the Seahawks find themselves down one key member of the defensive line rotation. Head Coach Pete Carroll announced on Tuesday that DT Jordan Hill will miss the remainder of the playoffs after tearing his calf in a workout session.
The Seahawks signed Landon Cohen yesterday. He and DeMarcus Dobbs will practice in Hill’s place this week. One, if not both will fill in the rotation spot vacated by the injury to Hill who finishes his 2014 season with 5.5 sacks.

Another big piece of news this week was that center Max Unger will be returning to the starting lineup in time for their NFC Divisional Playoff matchup with the Carolina Panthers. Unger has missed the past six weeks of the regular season while recovering from ankle and knee injuries.
Last week the Panthers used a high-tempo offense in their win over the Arizona Cardinals. It’s likely they will try to do the same against a Seahawks team that has beaten them in three straight seasons by less than a touchdown – all in Carolina.
This will mark the first time the Panthers and Cam Newton will face the Seahawks at CenturyLink Field.
Tharold Simon and Jermaine Kearse are also expected to be a go on Saturday.
