Whenever an offensive coordinator is making headlines, it’s generally a bad thing. The 12th Man has grown impatient with Darrell Bevell and his refusal to give Marshawn Lynch, arguable the best short yardage running backs in the NFL, the ball on goal line situations. Twice against the Rams the Seahawks called a play that should have gone to Lynch.

This past week the play calls were the same and instead of feeding BeastMode in another goal line situation, Russell Wilson threw an interception just three yards from the end zone.

I’d love to think this is part of a master plan to make teams lose focus on Marshawn Lynch once the playoffs begin. I doubt that’s the case. Carroll backed up his OC after the game. BeastMode did carry the ball 21 times for 125 yards, which was an improvement from the 8 carries against the Rams.

Let’s just hope they keep giving him the ball, this time on goal line situations as well.
