As the Seattle Sounders prepare to host the Philadelphia Union, we consider three factors which could determine the outcome at CenturyLink Field.

The Seattle Sounders continued to drag themselves back into contention last weekend, after starting the season with a franchise worst three-game losing streak. At least “drag” seems to be the appropriate word, when you consider it took a last-gasp goal by Chad Marshall to leave Houston with a valuable point.

However, this is not meant as a criticism of the Sounders, especially when you consider their impressive level of consistency since entering the league. At the end of the day, four points in the last two games in a positive step in the right direction, regardless of how aesthetically pleasing the performances may or may not have looked.

Now, they return home to CenturyLink Field to face the Philadelphia Union. We take a look at three factors which could very well decide the outcome in Seattle.
