We are days away from the 2018 Apple Cup. This how the Washington State football team matches up against each position area of UW’s team.

It’s all on the line for Washington State football in Friday’s Apple Cup showdown with Washington. A Cougars win puts them in the PAC-12 Championship game against Utah, keeps their slim chances for a college football playoff invite alive, and maybe, more importantly, snaps a five-game losing streak to their cross-state rivals.

The eighth-ranked Cougars have some matchup advantages against Washington. Ahead is a look at how Washington State stacks up against each UW position group. Additionally, I added in some suggestions on how I think Washington State can succeed on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball.
