Tuesday night the Gonzaga Bulldogs faced a tough Arizona Wildcats team in the semifinals of the Maui Invitational. It was a struggle but the Zags came away with a 91-74 win. Here are our takeaways.

Which man would step up next for the Gonzaga Bulldogs against the Arizona Wildcats? From the looks of the first half, no one! Turnovers were the biggest problem for the Zags in the first game of the Maui Invitational as they turned the ball over 22 times against the Fighting Illini. The trend continued in the first 20 minutes in the second round against the Arizona Wildcats with a frustrating ten turnovers leaving the Zags down by 8 at the half.

This had the potential to be a blowout for the Wildcats and ultimately leading the Zags to a similar fate already losing six out of the previous eight to Arizona, but they turned it around for a 91-74 victory. The win propels Gonzaga into the tournament finals against top-ranked Duke. Here are our takeaways from the Gonzaga Bulldog’s second-round win at the Maui Invitational.
