Los Angeles lost its first game of 2018 last week at New Orleans, 45-35. Both teams combined for 970 yards. The Rams fell behind 35-18 at the half but rallied back to tie the game at 35 on a 41-yard pass to Cooper Kupp with 9:48 left in the game. New Orleans scored the final 10 points and the rest was history.

  • QB Jared Goff – 28/40, 391 yards, 3 TDs, 1 Int.
  • RB Todd Gurley – 13 carries, 68 yards, 1 TD, 6 catches, 11 yards.
  • WR Brandin Cooks – 6 catches, 114 yards, 1 TD.
  • WR Cooper Kupp – 5 catches, 89 yards, 1 TD.
  • LB Cory Littleton – 9 tackles.
  • DT Aaron Donald – 1 tackle (for loss), 1 pass defended, 1 fumble recovery.

The Seattle Seahawks made valiant attempt to come back from a 19-10 halftime deficit. Their undoing was a 42-yard pick-six by Desmond King with 6:44 left in the game, which put them down 25-10. Undaunted the Hawks scored with just under two minutes left. They got the ball back a few plays later and drove down to the two, with no time left for un-timed down. David Moore dropped a slightly tipped pass in the end zone to end the game.

This week

It doesn’t look good for the Seahawks today. They were heavy underdogs, to begin with. Then several key injuries put them even further behind. Meanwhile, last week’s loss takes a bunch of pressure off the Rams, they can relax and play. The key for Seattle is the same as it has been since week three, pound the ball right at their opponent and control the clock to limit Los Angeles’ offensive opportunities. It’s much easier said than done.

A loss to the Rams won’t give Seahawks a broken wing. dark. Next
