USC Trojans at California Golden Bears

Andrew Durant – In the last two weeks, Cal has come off with a win against 25th ranked Washington and a close loss to eighth-ranked Washington State. Cal has had a tough time in divisional games this season besides those two games, although they have the same season record as USC.

USC beat Washington State earlier this season but that was before WSU went onto their current five game win streak. Since Cal has given both UW and WSU good games, I’m taking Cal in this game against USC.

Jeff Cirillo – He picks his alma mater. “USC is my squad, loyalty first.”

Ed Stein – The Golden Bears defense is very good. As a matter of fact, Cal leads the conference in pass defense. Southern California freshman quarterback is going to have a tough time playing against a very stingy D. I also expect the Trojans will see a steady dose of Bears running back Patrick Laird as the home team wants to control the clock. Cal wins a low scoring game.

Matt Barry – I feel a coaching change coming at Southern Cal. Something is a little off and Cal has been playing better. They beat Washington is a low scoring game. The Trojans are banged up and Cal has given up just eight passing touchdowns all season. I like the Bears in this one.
