Washington Football: Update on Huskies alumni in the AFC – 11/8/18

Danny Shelton, defensive line, New England Patriots

Shelton has on only started one game this season, it was against the Kansas City Chiefs in game six. Over the last three contests, he has three tackles, including a pair in the Pats two-touchdown win over Green Bay on November 4th.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins, tight end, Jacksonville Jaguars

To this point, Jenkins has caught 11 passes, including a touchdown (a week two win over New England) in the Jags first five games this season. ASJ was placed on injured reserve before game six due to a core muscle injury. He can be designated for return in week 14 against Tennessee.

Jermaine Kearse, wide receiver, New York Jets

The 6’1″ receiver has started the New York Jets last five games. His biggest game of the season was in week six against the Indianapolis Colts which New York won 42-34. Kearse was targeted 10 times by rookie quarterback Sam Darnold and caught nine passes for 94 yards.

The last two weeks, in losses to Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins, he had three catches in each game. For the season, Kearse has 22 receptions for 215 yards. He has been kept out of the end zone so far in 2018.
