Washington football has sent many players to the NFL over the years. Here is your monthly update on Huskies currently in the NFC.

University of Washington football has a long and glorious tradition of sending players to the NFL. Emerald City Swagger will periodically check in on the progress of Huskies alumni playing at the highest level of professional football. Every second week of the month, we will update you on UW players in the AFC. Players in the NFC will be featured during the fourth week of the month.

The Washington Huskies have eight former players on AFC rosters, four of them are active, two are on injured reserve, and one is on a practice squad. Here are their updates.

Jaydon Mickens, wide receiver/kick returner, Jacksonville Jaguars

Mickins is on injured reserve with a fractured ankle but may be able to come back for game 15 at home against Washington. He was only available for two games in October. He returned two kickoffs for 55 yards and had one punt return for six yards.

Senio Kelemete, guard, Houston Texans

The former 2012 fifth-round draft pick missed game three against the New York Giants because of a knee injury. Senio Kelemete has since returned, playing in six straight games all of which the Texans have won. They have a record of 6-3 and leading the AFC South.

He is known to have outstanding technique along with being very competitive. The Texans have a bye week coming up and then they play Washington Redskins and Tennessee Titans for the remaining two weeks of November.
