The Seattle Seahawks starting cornerback, rookie Tre Flowers converted from safety this summer. Here are some top cornerbacks Seattle can trade for to shore up the position.

After watching last weeks game against the Lions it was hard to ignore that quarterback Matt Stafford went after Seattle Seahawks inexperienced rookie cornerback Tre Flowers. The rookie is someone other teams will also look to exploit

The Seahawks defense has shown that they struggle at times with giving up big plays down the field. Secondary, especially corner, is where the Seattle Seahawks need the most help.

Here are some players that the Seattle Seahawks should try and make a play for ahead of the trade deadline. These are players that could come in and start for the Seahawks this Sunday. It would also be good to have another leader in the locker room.

Any of these cornerbacks will give Seattle defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr more opportunities to dial some different looks and different blitz packages. Additionally, another good corner in addition to Griffin will give more time to Seattle’s front four to hassle the opposing team’s quarterback.

That means more hits, more sacks, and harried quarterbacks rushing throws against a good cover team. Just by adding one cornerback, it will help the defense in more ways than just coverage.

Chris Harris Jr. – Denver Broncos

Chris Harris Jr. is a guy who can cover some of the top wide receivers in the league with limited help from the top side of a defense. His short stature should not be mistaken when it comes to lining up on man to man coverage. Harris can help a lacking secondary in several ways.

His cover skills can help the Seahawks by freeing up a linebacker to get to the quarterback. Harris is a player that Seattle should make a move for before trade deadline. He can play for any defense in the league and can start tomorrow.
