Every week for the remainder of the college football season, Emerald City Swagger Staff will put out our weekly PAC-12 power rankings.

Emerald City Swagger continues our PAC-12 football power rankings. We will run this feature through the last Bowl game.* This week saw some big changes. There is a new team in our top three and another knocking at the door.

Here are our PAC-12 Power Rankings for the week ending October 16:

12) Oregon State (1-5, 0-3) – Last week: Idle. This week: vs California. Note: The Beavers might actually have a shot in this one, Cal is reeling.

11) UCLA (1-5, 1-2) – Last week: They showed a pulse on the 13th against Washington. Last Saturday, the Bruins finally got off the schneid, 37-7 at Cal. Star running back Joshua Kelly ran the ball 30 times for 157 yards and three touchdowns. This week: vs Arizona. Note: Arizona isn’t much better than Cal. UCLA could win their second in a row, which might get head coach Chip Kelly‘s rear end off the fire.

10) California (3-3, 0-3) – Last week: Got blown out at home 37-7 by previously winless UCLA. It doesn’t matter who you play in the PAC-12, lose the turnover battle 5-0 and even the best are going to get beat. This week: at Oregon State. Note: It’s hard to believe the Bears were a Top-25 team at the beginning of October.

9) Arizona State (3-3, 1-2) – Last week: Idle. This Week: vs Stanford. Note: It’s not an easy game this week for head coach Herm Edwards’ Sun Devils, even at home. ASU is still in the hunt for the PAC-12 South title, believe it or not.
