Mickens and a pair of Sheltons

Jaydon Mickens, wide receiver/kick returner, Jacksonville Jaguars: Originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Oakland Raiders in 2016, Mickens never played a game for them remaining on the practice squad. In 2017, he began the year on the practice squad, however, was activated mid-season.

Mickens played in ten games and had six receptions including two touchdowns. So far in 2018, he hasn’t caught a pass yet but is being used on kickoffs and punt returns, where he is average 24.0 and 5.3 respectively.

Coleman Shelton, offensive lineman, Tennessee Titans: Shelton was signed as an undrafted free agent this year. A current member of the Titans, he signed with Tennessee after his release by the San Francisco 49ers at the end of pre-season. We will have to see if he gets promoted to the main roster.

Danny Shelton, defensive line, New England Patriots: He was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the 2015 first round (12th overall). Shelton missed two games because of injury in 2017 against the Cincinnati Bengals and the Green Bay Packers. In three seasons with Cleveland, he had 128 combined tackles.

Shelton was traded to the Patriots on March 15, 2018, along with a fifth-round pick, in exchange for a third rounder in the 2018 draft. This year he has ten tackles in five games for the Patriots.
