Every week the Seattle Seahawks play, Emerald City Swagger will have a dud and stud of the game. It’s a way to honor those who have played well and also call out the players who didn’t.

Sunday afternoon the Seattle Seahawks lost a heartbreaker 33-31 to division-leading Los Angeles. It took a near record-breaking, fourth-quarter field goal from a replacement kicker to sink the Hawks 33-31. This loss dropped Seattle’s record to 2-3 on the season.

The Seahawks continued their successful ground assault on Sunday. They gained 190 rushing yards against a top ten defense, that featured Ndamukong Suh and Aaron Donald at the point of attack. Seattle’s passing game was pretty good too, racking up 183 yards and three TD’s.

Unfortunately, the rest of the team couldn’t hold back the NFL’s number one offense. The Rams had 468 yards of total offense to keep Seattle at bay. QB Jared Goff controlled the air and running back Todd Gurley was a force on the ground. Los Angeles did what they had to and remain undefeated.
