Every week the Seattle Seahawks play, Emerald City Swagger will have a dud and stud of the game. It’s a way to honor those who have played well and also call out the players who didn’t.

The Seattle Seahawks lost on the road again, this time in Chicago. Overall, the defense was a pleasant surprise, overcoming injuries to three starters. It wasn’t steady, but this week Seattle managed to get a pass rush going. They sacked Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky twice.

Also, newly signed linebacker Mychael Kendricks looked sharp for someone that’s had only two practices. When K.J. Wright and Bobby Wagner get back to health, this could eventually be one of the best group of linebackers in the league.

The offense, on the other hand, wasn’t able to do much on its own.  The Seahawks did a much mixing in the run. Believe it or not, Seattle had one more offensive play, for the game, than their opponent.

The receivers looked very reliable, especially on short routes. Rookie tight end Will Dissly continues to impress and Brandon Marshall has been a solid acquisition.

It was a one touchdown game in the fourth quarter.
