28. Omar Vizquel (1989-1993)

Vizquel is likely higher on this list in the Cleveland Indians’ history books. Some forget he began his career in Seattle, winning his first of 11 Gold Gloves as a Mariner in 1993.

Known more for his defensive prowess, Vizquel could hold his own with the bat, hitting .294 in 1992 for Seattle. He led the MLB in “Range Factor” in 1991 for shortstops (putouts and assists divided by games played).

Sabermetrically, he was one of the most fundamentally sound defenders in Major League Baseball. After the 1993 season, he was traded to Cleveland.

Vizquelould eventually accumulate 2,877 career hits and make three All-Star teams. He will be on the Hall of Fame ballot next year.

27. Phil Bradley (1983-1987)

Bradley broke out with the Mariners in 1985. After not homering in either of his first two seasons (147 games total), he swatted 26 with 88 RBI that season, while also earning his lone All-Star selection.

He also hit an even .300 with 100 runs scored. He played two more seasons with the M’s, hitting 12 and 14 home runs in those years. He would never touch his ’85 numbers again.

Bradley hit .301 in his five seasons in Seattle, with 57 home runs. He also had an impressive .382 on-base percentage as a Mariner.
