Seahawks training camp doesn’t start until July 30th, but in anticipation of football season, here are five players who will be feeling the pressure when the competition truly begins.

The Seahawks have started Organized Team Activities in an attempt to see which unproven players can supplant roster stalwarts headed into the 2017 season. But roster competition won’t begin in earnest until July 30th, when the Seahawks open training camp.

Right now, it’s all about getting to team workouts, bonding with one another, and ducking reports swirling around Russell Wilson, Colin Kaepernick, and Richard Sherman. (It appears Kap will not be a Seahawk after all).

But in almost two months, the competition for playing time, roster spots, and starting designations will begin in Pete Carroll’s unique roster-building way. While training camp is weeks away, most of the roster competing for one of the 53 regular season slots is intact.

The Seahawks added 11 players via the NFL Draft and signed several more to free agent deals. They appear to have depth at several key positions, which will put the pressure on last season’s starters and others hoping to make the team.

The following five players appear to have the most work cut out for them to earn a roster spot, keep their place in the starting lineup, or keep their name in a regular rotation.

The pressure is felt differently by all players in training camp, regardless of how they performed last season. Carroll’s system demands competition and his players proving themselves all over again. With the talent that John Schneider has assembled this offseason, several Seahawks players will be feeling the heat during training camp, and will have to prove themselves capable to hold on to their roster spot or earn one.

Let’s take a look at five players who will have to step up during training camp:
