Pick 106- Seahawks select Tarell Basham, DE Ohio

A player who I have yet to profile, Basham stands at 6 foot 4 and 270 pounds. He has the length (34 inch arms) and speed (4.70 40-yard dash) Seattle typically looks for in the LEO position.

Basham won the 2016 MAC defensive player of the year. He produced 11.5 sacks in 2016, and added 16 tackles for a loss.

He needs to add strength and flexibility, but he has a solid tool set to work from. Basham will not struggle to set the edge, attacking tight ends with vigorous effort.

Basham has a nasty streak, but needs to work on his technique. He might be a year away from truly breaking out, but should serve as solid, usable depth in year one.
