The Seattle Mariners appear ready to top their impressive offensive performance from last season, but how much can we expect from the loaded lineup?

It’s almost the end of “prediction” season and the start of the regular season, with little more than a week away from real baseball getting started. The Seattle Mariners‘ lineup has a chance to be one of the best in baseball if two things go their way: health and Mike Zunino.

Based on past seasons as well as health and age, I put together reasonable predictions for the Mariners’ lineup this coming season based on the numbers. Enjoy!

1. Jarrod Dyson, LF

2017 projected stats: .260, 2 HR, 30 RBI, 35 SB

Dyson still may not play everyday, with him likely getting around 350 at-bats (full seasons usually are in the mid to high 500s). I predict he will take advantage of his time and put up decent offensive numbers.

Now, Dyson isn’t going to break seats in the upper deck with home runs, but he will be effective as a key cog in the Mariners‘ attack. Just getting on base will do the trick.
