Pick 68: Seahawks select Ahkello Witherspoon, CB Colorado

I wrote about Ahkello Witherspoon in our last mock draft:

"Standing at 6’ 3″ and nearly 200 lbs, Witherspoon uses his 33-inch arms and 4.45 speed to blanket receivers down the field. Witherspoon also jumped extremely well, sporting a 40.5-inch vertical and a 127-inch broad jump. While Witherspoon is an exceptional athlete, he does have work to do. He needs to add strength to avoid being pushed around outside, and while his 3-cone and 20-yard shuttle aren’t bad for a 6’3″ corner, they do prevent him from playing inside on a consistent basis. MockDraftable has Witherspoon’s closest athletic comp as Richard Sherman (click here) , who posses long arms and good leaping ability to quickly close down passing windows."

Witherspoon is steadily rising up draft boards, and with the Seahawks’ next pick not coming until #106, they might have to “reach” to get the guy they really want.
