Seattle Seahawks: 3 Reasons Signing Eddie Lacy Was a Good Move

1) Age

No one is going to try and suggest Lacy is on the same level as Adrian Peterson or Jamaal Charles. At least not in terms of what the three have achieved during their NFL careers up to this point.

However, Peterson and Charles are now both in their 30s. Reaching the 30-year old mark is usually associated with a sharp decline when it comes to playing running back.

In the case of Lacy, he is only 26, which is still relatively young for the position. In addition, he only has four years of wear and tear on his body in the professional game.

Compare this to Peterson and Charles, who have 10 and nine years respectively in the NFL. Again, no one is comparing Lacy to these two in terms of what he’s accomplished to date, but he certainly seems like the better bet moving forward.
