26. Ryan Ramczyk, OT Wisconsin

A few weeks ago, I would have said the Seahawks had a better chance of trading Russell Wilson than snagging the Wisconsin Badger Left Tackle. Widely considered the most polished tackle in the 2017 NFL Draft, Ramczyk has slowly slide down draft boards for a multitude of reasons.

First, there  are injury concerns. Ramczyk had arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn labrum in his hip, causing the tackle to miss both the combine and his pro day. No workout data is available, leaving teams to evaluate him only on his tape.

Speaking of tape, there isn’t much of it. Ramczyk burst onto the scene and only started one year at Wisconsin after transferring from a small D-III school. However, what teams will see on the limited tape is a first round tackle.

He has a solid lower half and a strong punch, driving D-Lineman down the field in Wisconsin’s run-heavy offense. His pass protection is good but he is vulnerable to long armed pass rushers, lacking a hulking wing span and necessary quickness to get to his spot quickly.

We know the Seahawks are still looking to add to its offensive line and just missed out on veteran T.J. Lang. Ramczyk is a good fit and could be a tremendous value if he slides into the late first. NFL.com compares him Joe Staley, while CBS see similarities to Nate Solder.
