2. Latavius Murray

In a flurry of  free agent news, this little nugget of info fell from Twitter on Thursday morning:

Murray is an interesting case for the Seahawks to ponder. Murray is a power runner, standing at 6’3″, 225 lbs. Despite his size, Murray also provides value as a pass catcher, catching at least 33 balls and 264 yards in each of the past 2 seasons.

Murray is a surprisingly good athlete. He ran a  4.38 40 yard dash, and his 10-yard split (1.48 s) ranks in the 95th percentile of NFL RBs ( you can see full results be clicking here).

It’s not hard to see why Seattle would be interested in this monstrous, freaky athlete of a man. The question that remains is cost. At just 27 years old, Murray is in his statistical prime as a runner, and this is likely the biggest contract he can ever hope to sign.

Unlike AP and Charles, there are no serious injury concerns for Murray, and he is likely to have many suitors. Can Seattle win a bidding war for a running back? Tough to say.
