6. Nate Robinson

A fan favorite with the UW Huskies and a two-sport athlete with the University of Washington, not many expected the success that Nate Robinson enjoyed in the NBA. The 5’9” guard out of local basketball powerhouse Rainier Beach High School led the UW Huskies to a Sweet 16 appearance in his junior year for the basketball team. He played football his freshman year for the UW Huskies, intercepting two passes and making 34 tackles for the team. Known for his small stature but incredible hops, Robinson is a three-time Dunk Champion in the NBA, perhaps best-known for his Evel Knievel-esque leap over Dwight Howard in the 2009 Dunk Contest.

Robinson was mostly a journeyman in his NBA career, playing for eight teams over 10 years before joining the Israeli team Hapoei Tel Aviv, where he plays now. Robinson also authored one of the gutsiest performances in recent NBA Playoff memory when he starred for the Chicago Bulls in the 2012-2013 season. He averaged 17 points per game in the series against the Brooklyn Nets for an undermanned Bulls team. He gave the Super Heat a series that season, too. No one in NBA history has matched Robinson’s three Slam Dunk Championships.
