1) Do not allow FC Dallas to score an early goal

Yes, I realize this key is straight from the ‘stating the obvious’ department. Regardless, it doesn’t make it any less true.

As things stand, FC Dallas are down and almost out, hanging on by their fingernails. However, concede an early goal, and you will gradually start to see the belief grow in the home side.

Further, people will likely point to the Toros’ record at Toyota Stadium, which saw them register the most home points among all Western Conference teams. And with the likes of Maximiliano Urruti and Michael Barrios in attack, they are certainly capable of scoring that vital early goal.

On the flip side, at least the Sounders will not have to contend with the supremely talented Mauro Diaz. Ironically, the midfielder has been out since tearing his Achilles tendon against Seattle near the end of the regular season, and his absence is a big loss for FC Dallas.
