Ranking the Eight Seattle Seahawks Head Coaches
By Ben Renner
The Seattle Seahawks have had eight head coaches in their history since joining the NFL as an expansion team in 1976. Only three of those coaches were what you would call successful. One was mediocre, and the rest were… not as successful.
The history of the Seahawks is one fraught with painful losses, futile seasons, and three Super Bowl appearances. I think it’s time we took a deep breath and remember where we came from, Seahawks fans, and remind ourselves of where we’re going from here. Over the years, we’ve seen some colorful personalities, some NFL veteran coaches come and go, and a few college coaches with varying degrees of success.
"Time to remind ourselves where we’ve come from and where we’re going."
Here are all eight Seattle Seahawks coaches, ranked worst to first, over the course of the history of the franchise. I ranked them based on the longevity of their tenures in Seattle and their success in both the regular season and the postseason for the Seahawks. As always, my rankings are highly subjective and I invite debate on my decisions. Voice your suggestions for rankings in the comments section at the end of the slideshow.

Sit back, relax, and take a trip down memory lane with me as I count down the eight head coaches in Seahawks history.
We will start with the most forgettable:
