4. Warren Moon

Warren Moon was the first black quarterback to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Moon was a great quarterback for the Houston Oilers for 10 years before moved on to Minnesota and finally came to the Seahawks in 1997 at age 41. Moon led the NFL in yards-per-game that season for the Seahawks and tossed 25 touchdowns and only 16 interceptions on his way to the Pro Bowl, one of nine Pro Bowl appearances in his career.

When Moon was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2006, he also became the first former Canadian Football League player to earn the distinction in NFL history. He was the all-time leader in NFL history in passing attempts, pass completions, passing yards, and passing touchdowns when he retired in 2000. He was Brett Favre before Brett Favre broke all his records. His two seasons with the Seahawks were remarkable because the aging quarterback still performed at a high level despite the mostly disappointing team around him.

You can still hear Warren Moon, of course, working as the color commentator for all Seahawks radio network broadcasts along with Steve Raible. Listen to his excited whoop during this defining moment in Seahawks history. And of course you know he loved Richard Sherman batting the ball away from Michael Crabtree in the Postseason of Glory.
